School Programs

The CAM Education Department is pleased to offer guided tours of the museum's exhibitions and workshops that complement the exhibit. Tours are available Tuesday through Saturday by appointment only.

School Tours for Grades K-8
The Carnegie Art Museum's School Tour Program is designed to present a rich visual arts experience, increase students' perception and analytic skills, and provide students with the opportunity to explore their creative talents. CAM’s School Tour Program is aligned with the California State Content Standards for Visual Arts, Language Arts, and History/Social Studies.

The School Tours Program includes:
    *A 60-90 minute visit to the Carnegie Art Museum, beginning with a  guided tour of the current exhibit by an Education Department staff member and concludes with a hands-on exhibit related art project led by a professional artist.

The cost of the School Tour Program is $85 per class (up to 35 students).
